To determine if an adrenal tumor is present and if the tumor is malignant (cancerous) or benign (non-cancerous), your doctor may order one or more of the following tests:

Computed Tomography (CT): A scan to provide a two-dimensional image of the area, determining if a tumor is present and if it has moved to any other area in the body.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): A scan that allows the medical team to look inside the body, detecting small abnormalities in the area and determining if the tumor is cancerous.

Positron Emission Tomography (PET): A scan that offers a three-dimensional image of the area and may show high metabolic energy, which could help determine if the tumor is cancerous.

Blood and Urine Testing: A small sample of blood and/or urine is collected, which can be analyzed to determine the presence of cancer.
