Epididymitis is the inflammation of the epididymis, the coiled tube that lies at the back of each testicle. Epididymitis is a common urologic diagnosis in men ages 18 to 50 and most often caused by a bacterial infection, sexually transmitted diseases (STD) or an enlargement of the prostate gland.
Symptoms of EpididymitisPain, tenderness and swelling in the scrotum are often the most common symptoms of epididymitis, but may also include the following:
